Abstract

This is an analytical research to determine Correlation between Knowledge and Attitudes of woman in childbearing age (WCA) on Visual Inspection Acetic Acid (VIA) with Behavior to Perform the VIA Inspection in the area of Health Center I Kebumen in 2013 .This study uses a cross-sectional approach with 93 WCA sample who are chosen using cluster sampling technique and simple random sampling. Questionnaire which its reliability and validity have already tested is used to collect the data. Then we analyze them using Chi Square formula. Research results shows that the respondents have knowledge about the VIA with the category of good ( 10.8 % ), enough ( 79.6 % ), and doubt ( 51.6 % ). There is a significant correlation between these two variable, with the acquisition of Chi Square correlation coefficient of 9.011 and a P - Value of 0.011. Significant relationship exists between respondents' attitudes toward VIA with behavior to be examine, with the acquisition of Chi Square correlation coefficient of 24.841 and a P - Value of 0.000.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to evaluate the effectiveness of high potassium diet and low sodium diet in reducing blood pressure for patients with hypertension. It is a quasi-experimental research with two group pre - post design, the research is conducted in health center of Sokaraja II, Banyumas. A simple random sampling is applied. We divide 28 subjects into 2 categories: 14 subject apply topotasium diet and 14 subject apply sodium diet. The intervension of high potasium diet is by giving the subject 2 Ambon bananas each day for a week. While the low natrium diet is done by giving a tea spoon of salt eaeh day for a week. The results shows that there was no difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after administration of a high potassium diet, which is the systolic (p value = 0.13) and diastolic (p value = 0.24), low-sodium diet cannot reduce blood pressure significantly (p value = 0.12). However, the diastolic blood pressure is significantly different (p value = 0.001). So, Low sodium diet is more effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients, especially in diastolic blood pressure compared to a high potassium diet.

Psychologic problem of PLWHA will lead negative behaviour toward himself such as tend to suicide since the transmission of HIV/AIDS will be cut off if it is done. Therefore, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be given to PLWHA to develop aceeptance and commitment behaviour. The aim of this study is to know the impact of ACT toward PLWHA aceptance and commitment to himself and his society. It is an experimental design with non randomized pretest and posttest with control group design. Purposive sampling method is used in this study. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the weight of the silver produced from silver recovery process using electrolysis and chemical deposition method with which NaOH 5 M. As well as to determine the method most widely produced silver from both methods. This research is an experimental study. Data collection was performed on material that has been saturated with fixer electrolysis method and precipitation with NaOH 5 M. Fixer solution that has been saturated by 20 liters divided by two. Furthermore, each volume by 10 liters silver recovery process performed by the method of electrolysis and precipitation with NaOH 5 M. The results showed that the silver recovery by electrolysis method produces silver as much as 29 grams, while silver recovery with NaOH 5 M resulted in the deposition of silver as much as 27 grams. Of both methods are the most widely produced silver is a method of electrolysis. Besides electrolysis method has the advantage of faster process, more practical, in generating pure silver is ready for sale. But it has the disadvantage expensive appliance. While the deposition method is cheaper, long process, longer chemical contamination and dangerous, impractical, drying takes a long time to do a new purification by combustion (burning with welding tools).

Abstract

This study is to determine the effect of the use of interactive CD media to the level of understanding of teaching anatomy and physiology of eye. This is a quasi experiment research with pre and post test control grouph design. The number of samples in this study is 79 people. The data were processed with t-test to determine the differences in physiological anatomy score between groups before treatment, the difference in the value between groups after treatment, the difference in value before and after treatment in both groups and the difference in the average increase in the value of physiological anatomy after the treatment between groups. The results of the t test for differences in anatomy physiology score before the treatment between groups (p=0.53), the difference in value between groups after treatment (p=0:03),the difference in value before and after treatment in both groups (p=0.00) and the average difference in the increase in value physiological anatomy after the treatment between groups (p=0.023 ). In conclusion, the treatment group had a greater understanding of the level compared with the control group.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in methods of tutorials learning with recitation of the knowledge, attitude and skills of students in promoting health. The populations in this research are 333 nursing students at Purwokerto Nursing Department. Then, we use a cluster sampling method where 80 nursing students at second grade are divided into two groups, an intervention group, consists of 40 students and a control group, consists of 40 students. Then, the data collection is done by using questionnaire and observation sheets. The data obtained were analyzed using the paired t test to analyze differences in each pre and post experiment group. Then, in order to determine the difference between the two methods we use independent sample t test. The research shows that there is increasing average value before and after the use of tutorial method and recitation method. The test results of Independent Sample T test is 0.005. With significance 0,000, it can be concluded that the use of tutorial method is more effective to improve knowledge, attitudes and skills of students in health promotion compared with recitation method.
